Can I submit Content with artwork which has not been created digitally?

A property release is required for non-digital artwork

Content that contains drawings, paintings, sculptures or any other artwork that has not been created digitally must be accompanied by a property release. Photo Becho's property release requirement for content that contains artwork ensures that you have either created the work yourself, or that you own or control the copyright for the original artwork. Such representation protects both our contributors and our customers from a potential claim of copyright infringement.

Although you may own the physical piece of art that you plan to submit to Photo Becho for licensing, you must also own the copyright to that artwork. Copyright grants to the copyright owner, among other rights, the right to reproduce and benefit financially from the protected work.

A property release is required for the following types of content:

  • Sketches
  • Drawings
  • Watercolor illustrations
  • Paintings
  • Tattoos
  • Graffiti
  • Sculptures

The standard property release is what we require for each submission of non-digital artwork. The release must be completed in accordance with our property release requirements and must also include a thumbnail image of the artwork.
